The most representative birds of this group are African Greys. Originating from central Africa, the African Grey is a highly intelligent parrot and requires a committed and patient owner. These birds are one of the most intelligent parrot species and possess the ability to develop a large vocabulary and communicate efficiently with their owner. They are medium-sized parrot about 12 inches/30cm long. Greys live from 40 to 60 years. They feed on seeds, grain, pellets and fruits / veggies.

African Congo Grey

African greys are best known for their outstanding talking ability and uncanny knack for impersonating different sounds and voices.

Timneh African Grey

The Timneh African Grey is very similar to the Congo African Grey.

Meyer´s Parrot

Meyer's Parrots are related to the more popular Senegal parrots, and I find them to be attractive and intelligent little birds.

Senegal Parrot

Senegals are much quieter birds than many of the smaller, more colorful and popular parrots like the conures in the Aratinga genus.

Breast is orange but less intense; orange band on forehead; iris blackish
