The Eclectus Parrot is a parrot native to the Solomon Islands, New Guinea, northeastern Australia and the Maluku Islands (Moluccas). It is unusual in the parrot family for their extreme sexual dimorphism; the males are bright green, with bright candy corn colored beaks and blue or red tail and wing feathers, and the females red headed and blue-breasted, with black beaks. Eclectus are remarkable birds and ideally suited as a pet.
Parakeets are funny, outgoing, fearless, acrobatic, rambunctious and lovable, with mature lengths of 23-25cm and weights of approximately 150g and 170g respectively. These birds are quite beautiful in coloration. Originating from North of the Amazon, northern Brazil and southern Venezuela and part of Colombia. They are very active and need a ample of fruits, veggies, pellets, seeds and grains. They live about 30 years.
