I was looking for a Catalina and found this breeder here. My wife did the phone work with breeders and she said Lucie was the nicest and most knowledgeable person she spoke to. She said Lucie loves her birds and we should buy from them. We also needed to make a trip to Georgia at the same time so we decided to drive down and pick our baby up. They have a great place and definately know how to take care of their birds. I will get another baby from them in the spring. |

I bought a DYHA from Lucie a few weeks ago, she demonstrated knowledge, love of the animal and was very professional. She kept me updated with my babies information and photo on a weekly basis. I glad that I found her, I love my baby which is the sweet and cuddly. I was impressed by how much he cares, I would highly recommend Dunnellon's. |

We got YUKI, a Goffin Cockatoo, from LUCIE. YUKI is absolutely gorgeous. It shows that how much LUCIE has been taken care of this small cotton ball. She answered all the questions that we had. She's extremely kind, professional, and helpful. I'm thinking about getting a Rose Breasted Cockatoo from her next year! Thank you for your kind support. You're the BEST!! |
To whom it may concern,
My name is Abe Williams and I am from Alabama. I found out about Dunne's Exotic Bird Farm from the Internet while searching for information about Blue and Gold Macaws. After locating the web site I wrote an email to Lucien Peru asking for information about these wonderful birds. After some discussion by email with Lucien I chose to adopt one of the babies from Lucie because she was so helpful with my questions and also because of the caring nature I could sense from her. Lucie is great, very helpful and produces very high quality birds. Dunnellon's and Lucie is a great choice if you are considering adopting a bird or even several birds. You will get all the help you will need and don't forget about their parrot mall to buy anything you may need for your new addition. Nikki, the B & G that I adopted from Lucie is doing great and she is a very beautiful bird. If you have questions about anything feel free to contact me by email at baw723@charter.net and I will get back to you asap.

Dear Lucie, Candy Cane is doing so well. He is such a fun bird. He is so funny and loves to play. He keeps me very entertained all day long. He is so loving too and wants to be held and petted. He is so perfect. I love him so much. He has captured my heart. He is good for the whole family and is just a perfect bird. Allison loves him too and is so happy and proud of him. He is just the best bird. He is sooooooo beautiful too. You know I think he has learned to say a few words already. He makes these noises and then mumbles. Allison said that he said, "Hello" very clearly last night. It wouldn't surprise me. He is such a smart bird. I didn't think conures were good talkers, but Candy Cane is already showing signs of talking. We love him so much. I certainly will keep in touch and maybe next time I need to find a bird born on October 9th for Michelle. :)

Lucie..I wanted to let you know Pete has arrived safe at home. After the transfer from the shipping carrier to his cage, he fluttered his feathers as if he was relieved. He is walikn on the branches in the cage and he has his toy with him that you sent. :) This morning he has been eating out of our hands, he is a very gentle and sweet bird. My son gained enough of his trust that Pete let him scratch his head and he loved it.. I am still reading up on macaws and have learned a lot about them. I will send you an picture this evening of him. He seems to be very happy and I am grateful. Thanks Lucie for doing such a good job with Pete, we love him very much!!!

I just wanted to send you this picture of me and the baby African Grey that my parents picked up from you this weekend. The little guy is absolutely adoreable and very friendly. I am a little nervous of him still and he is little nervous of me but I am sure that will pass quickly. He takes food from my hand but is not ready for me to give him head pets yet as my hand coming up makes him very nervous. Once we find out what gender the little fellow is I have two names picked out Marcus for boy and Misty for a girl. I am trying to stay away from saying good boy or good girl until we know for sure. So I just want to say thank you for for this little guy that I hope to be able to provide that happiest home a bird could ask for.
PS, Now its the Mom's turn. We just love your little baby. He/She is gorgeous but we are biting our lips waiting to find out exactly if it is a boy or girl so please let us know as soon as you do. We are taking bets. Douglas is really happy with the bird. Douglas and Bobbie Holland

Lucie,
well I think we have finally all agreed on a name for our baby. We will be calling her Tiffany. She is such a sweet baby. I think my husband is getting jelousy because she will pick me over him a heart beat. She loves to play on top of my head all the time. I must say she had been so much fun. She has learn to tease my dog. Alicia (my dog, whos blind) will go crazy every time Tiffany flaps her wings and then Tiffany stops and plays like she is a sleep, until Alicia stops barking. Then Tiffany starts up again and then Alicia. It can be an all day thing. Tiffany is trying to say Cracker now. She loves peanuts, and crackers would be her next favorite.
Again we just want to say thank you so much for such a loving baby.

Eating has improved 100% yesterday. I clipped her wings last night. I really think her personality changed with in 30 mins. She tried to fly and went downward. She tired it twice and then the she settled down beyond belief. I know she will have to adjust to having to use her beak to aid her. I have never had a bird that I had to clip the wings for the first time. I was really surprised. Once the wings return do they stay the same by sitting on the perch or return to wanting to fly all over the room. She really is sweet. I have waited so long for this bird I am excited. I do not care for the beak gripping but I think that will change when she gets us to have the wings clipped.

Hello,
I just wanted to let you know that we got the bird yesterday. It is beautiful! He or she is very nice and seems to be adjusting well to it's new home. We plan to get it DNA sexed. If it is a boy, we will name it Blaze, if a girl, Liberty. We have a rope swing in it's cage that it sits on quite often. It's not a strong eater, so we are supplementing some of it's food with formula. We have one last question. When is the bird's birthday? Attached are some photos. Thank you very much for everything. When we get another bird in the future we will be sure to get it from you. Excellent job!

They were extremely friendly, sweet, and helpful, with prompt responses to any of my questions or concerns. I would definitely buy another bird from them. |
